Eyelash Extensions Touch-ups
To maintain the look of your lashes, Eye Candy! recommends touch ups every two to three weeks. You may book a touch up appointment if at least 60% of your lash extensions are still attached. If less than that are attached, you are no longer eligible for a touch up appointment and must schedule a new application.
Maintenance Tips
The first 24 hours are crucial for your new lash extensions to bond to your natural lashes. You can help your eyelash extensions last their longest by avoiding showering, washing your eyes, tanning, applying creams or lotions to the eye area, applying mascara or other eye makeup, touching your lashes, saunas, hot tubs, steam rooms, swimming, exercising, wearing your contacts, and sleeping on your lashes during this time.
After the first 24 hours, there is little need to adjust your lifestyle. However, your eyelash extensions may fall out before the end of your natural lash cycle if you touch your lashes excessively, use oil-based products on your face, wear of a lot of mascara, or frequently expose your lashes to heat sources (steam rooms, tanning salons, saunas, hot tubs, etc.)

Frequently Asked Questions
What are Eyelash Extensions?
Lash extensions are a revolutionary new product that will provide longer, thicker, luscious and natural-looking eyelashes. Lash extensions are not your traditional fake eyelash strips--they are semi-permanent individual eyelash extensions. One eyelash at a time is applied singularly over your existing lashes. This process makes your own lashes fuller and longer. The individual lashes are black, ending any need for applying and removing mascara.
Are Eyelash Extensions approved by the FDA? Is it safe?
Currently the FDA is not regulating eyelash extensions because they are applied to the natural eyelash hairs and do not touch the skin. The primary ingredient in our glue is the same ingredient used by surgeons in the U.S. for suture-less wound closure. The application process is pain-free and relaxing. In fact, many clients fall asleep during the procedure.
How long do they last?
Lash extensions are semi-permanent. With proper application and simple, common-sense care, the lashes can last up to 60 days, depending on the life cycle of the individual's natural eyelashes. Most people's eyelashes turn over about every 6 weeks. That means you have all new lashes every 6 weeks. As your lashes shed, you gradually lose some of the artificial lashes. While the glue is very good, it is natural to lose a few lashes during everyday life. We recommend a full set for the initial application and touch ups every two weeks.
Will Eyelash Extensions damage my lashes?
No. Eyelash extensions should never damage your natural lashes. The only time a problem will arise is when clients pull on the lash extensions. If you pull or rub on the lash extension, you could possibly pull out your natural lash. Picking at them will cause your natural lashes to break.
How often should I get touch-ups?
Our experience has been every two to three weeks however some people may be sooner, others longer. A natural eyelash falls off every 60 to 90 days on average due to the natural growth cycle and is naturally replaced with the growth of a new eyelash. Each of our natural eyelashes is at a different stage of its life cycle. A touch up is needed to replenish the lashes that have completed their life cycle. Touch ups generally take a short time and are relatively inexpensive.
Can I swim, shower, exercise, or visit a spa while wearing these lashes?
Yes. Our specially formulated bonding agent allows you to shower, swim, exercise, sleep and spa worry-free 24 hours after application. Enjoy these lashes with little need to adjust your lifestyle, they are worry free!
Can I apply Eyelash Extensions to my own eyelashes?
No. Only a trained professional will be able to safely apply them. Unprofessional application or self-application may cause eye injury or clumpy, unnatural looking lashes. Each lash is applied one lash at a time to your individual natural eyelashes to achieve long, thick and natural looking eyelashes. The procedure involves bonding the synthetic extension to your own natural eyelashes while your eyes are closed.
Can I apply mascara to these lashes?
Indeed, one of the main advantages of eyelash extensions is never needing mascara again. However, if you must have the mascara look, only water based mascara can be used. DO NOT USE OIL-BASED OR WATER-PROOF MASCARA. Waterproof mascara along with any type of oil based mascara will dissolve the bonding agent. In addition, ONLY use water based eye makeup removers. No oil based products should come in contact with your lash extensions.
How do I take care of them?
Your new eyelash extensions are long, thick, curled and beautiful! Best of all, they are easy to care for. To maintain this look and extend the life of your lashes, follow these easy care instructions: Do not wash eyes or shower for 24 hours after lash application. Do not swim or spa for 48 hours after lash application to allow adequate time for bonding. Be gentle with your lashes. Avoid rubbing your eyes. Avoid any oil-based eye products or removers and waterproof mascara. Water based mascara and water based mascara remover may be used. Use mascara sparingly and gently remove mascara with water-based eye makeup remover. We recommend getting a touch up every 2 to 3 weeks.
What is the application process like?
You will be comfortably reclined with your eyes closed while the eyelash extensions are applied individually to your natural eyelashes. It generally takes between 90 to 120 minutes to apply one set. The procedure is so relaxing and comfortable that many clients fall asleep. Touch ups can be done in about an hour.
Can the Eyelash Extensions be removed?
Yes, at any time for any reason at all. They can be easily removed using my gel remover. Never try to remove them yourself, or you will damage your natural eyelashes.
